Morris will join DeMarlo Slocum and Eric Peterson.Morris is set to officially join the Utes’ staff May 1.Morris spent the last two seasons on the Cincinnati staff, serving under then-Bearcats head coach John Brannen.In April 2020, Morris was named to the Silver Waves Media 50 Impactful High Major Assistant Coaches list.This recognition honors a select group of current high major assistant coaches in Division I men’s basketball who have made an impact on the game.Morris was also with Brannen at Northern Kentucky from 2017-2019 where the duo helped lead the Norse to three consecutive postseason appearances, including NCAA Tournament berths in 2017 and 2019.Morris has also served as the director of player development at Nevada in 2015-16 under head coach Eric Musselman.Morris has also served on Division I staffs at Alabama and Kennesaw State.Morris is a 2008 graduate of Stanford, playing under head coaches Mike Montgomery and Trent Robinson for the Cardinal.He also played for current Pepperdine head coach Lorenzo Romar at Washington during his senior season in the 2007-08 season.As a collegian, Morris averaged 6.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest.center_img Brad Jameslast_img read more
