A new re-imagined Yu Yureka is on its way. Yu Televentures is going to launch a black colour variant of its 2015 launched Yu Yureka smartphone. The smartphone will arrive on June 1 and as India Today Tech said earlier, may cost under Rs 10,000. However, there are no official announcements on the price of the phone yet.The phone will be available only across online channels and aims to compete with phones like Redmi Note 4 and Moto 3. India Today Tech had a chance to take a look at the phone and noted that phone will have a meat body with a 5-inch shiny and highly reflective display. The top and bottom parts of the phone are plastic-built and a fingerprint sensor could be seen on the front. Further, the rear camera could be seen protected by a round ring.The phone seen in the media invite sent by the company gives a glimpse of the back of the device. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch PS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels and a Corning Gorilla Glass Protection 3 on top. The device runs Android KitKat which was upgradable to Android 5.1 Lollipop. The original Yu Yureka is powered by Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB RAM. There is 16GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB through a microSD card. On the camera front, there is a 5MP front camera and 13MP rear-camera which is capable to capture images with decent details and less noise in good light.advertisementThere were reports that Micromax is planning to shut down its YU unit. But, now with the official announcement of Yu Yureka Black coming on June 1, it seems that the company will continue with its Yu series for a while.
