Fire breaks out at Manchester Christie hospital building

first_imgA fire has broken out at one of the buildings belonging to The Christie Hospital.The incident is still ongoing according to the local fire service.The blaze is currently engulfing the Cancer Research building, which is next to the hospital. All the associated areas have been evacuated including any patient areas.”Patients should park in the multi-storey car park off Palatine Road.”The police were called because of the fire. The Greater Manchester Police told the MEN they were called to the Oak Road entrance of the Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute building at 10.43am.They said that several roads surrounding the site and The Christie Hospital grounds have been shut.
